Grants Overview
| .................................................. |
The primary goal of Friends of Malawi (FOM) is to support programs in
Malawi which positively impact Malawians. As part of this mission, FOM
awards small grants to development projects throughout the country. All
grants must reflect
sustainable development and follow the criteria set by FOM
in the application guidelines.
|
||
|
Projects initiated by small- to medium-sized NGOs - especially
Malawian-run NGOs or those in which Peace Corps Volunteers are involved
- will receive first consideration. Projects originating from within the
Malawian Government or managed by the U.S. government will have a lower
priority. As a matter of FOM policy, no discretionary grants, loans, or
scholarships are ever awarded directly to individuals. |
|||
| Applications are reviewed on an in-coming basis
and awarded based on approval criteria set by the review committee. All
applications will be considered; however, some applications may not be
funded or revisions may be requested. |
